I need gas, Oh SHlT!

Got lucky before prices shot up and filled it at $3.26. Yes that's e85, and premium in Indy at least at the shell by my house was $4.53 the other day. I am one of the lucky few who drives fewer than 15mi a day round trip for work. Got a '00 GS that just turned 84k.

I paid $1.40L for supreme the other night. In New Brunswick Canada Just over 50L cost $72 and that's only 350km of driving.

So since i'm floating just below half a tank i never bothered to fill up.

it was at $1.52 CAD per litre.

which is $5.94 USD per US gallon.................................. And this isn't even getting high yet...

Tell me what other consumer product changes price THIS rapidly?

engine oil has just NOW gone up in price around 10-25% in the past two years....

I put $69 in fuel in the car last Saturday. Had to do a bunch of running around after that so I went ahead and filled up again on Monday after work putting another $26 in.

Thats $95 in the tank in 2 days. I'm at a little under half a tank now, but will probably have to fill up again tomorrow because I am making a trip to do some work on a car.

the gas thats in my tank cost me $3.45 a gallon 2 months ago and it still have 3/4 tank left. Hoefully i wont have to buy it again till it goes down from $3.90...

180 miles a week just to work, 200 if I work on saturday. I get about 15 in my truck at 3.89 a gallon for 87 octane and I usually put just over 20 gallons in at a time, normally between $78.25 and $80.00. I don't even care anymore, I just get the pump going, reset my stuff in the DIC and pay when its done.

I wish I only had 180 miles a week to work. I got 250 miles to work, and 300 if I have to pull a Saturday.

I miss only living 12 miles from work. Only had to fill up every two weeks.

hmm 4.21 for 93octane isnt too bad for me i live 8 miles from work, i just cutback, its about budgeting more. the racecar stays in the trailor more. even e85 is starting to get to the 3dollar mark

150 miles a week. usually fill up at just below half. it hit 4.29 last week. oil companies are corrupt as is the government. therefore nothing will ever happen since there in it tognther
04 with 194k......im the winner.

$3.97 for 93 here. Cost me $63 to fill up the other day when my "idiot" light came on. Since school is on break for a month, I won't be using as much gas thank god. But it still hurts to have to fill up.

4.12 for 87 Here in Central WI

Off Topic, but you're local! Small world.

On-Topic, the jobs in my town started drying up a bit, and I took a job 30 miles away (Stevens Point to Wausau). When I started, it sucked, but it wasn't too bad. $2.65/gallon. Now it's starting to get downright evil. i'm sorry, but filling up the fuel tank on a car should not be a major financial decision!!

This is part of the reason I'm getting out of riding motorcycles for a while. Its down to ride the bike, or do things with my kids. So, bikes are out for now. I'm sorry but it shouldn't cost $22 to fill up the tank on a sport bike!

I paid $1.40L for supreme the other night. In New Brunswick Canada Just over 50L cost $72 and that's only 350km of driving.

how are you only getting 350k on a tank???? Ive so far gotten over 400, and ive got a quarter tank left till empty.. and ive got a lead foot lol

according to my DIC i get 13.X MPG and around 250 KM per half tank.... so 500 per tank.

$1.52 was the price as of some number of hours ago....

<nostalgia>
Back when I drove a '96 Cavalier around 2000 or so, A total fillup cost me $12.
</nostalgia>

<reality_check>
Now, here in double-priced-everything-including-taxes Canada, $40 only gets me half a tank.
</reality_check>

Now wheres that backyard DIY oil derrick forum?
