I messed up! Can it be fixed???

What can I do to fix this??? Will sanding it down and repainting it get rid of all the scratches? What do you suggest? I have done other interior painting this past week that turned out great, but this piece looks like hell! Help!!!!!

sand back down and and use finer and finer sandpaper

I vote go to the junkyard and get one for $5. You'll spend that much on sandpaper alone. and the over spray on the shift boot.....

thats crazy.. what did you do, use 40 grit? lol the other ones looked good like you said.. this one.. not to much lol
toss it, start over.. you just need to scuff it up not destroy it.. and please, for the sake of time.. post the IMG links provided when you upload a pic..

You pretty much screwed it up lol nah just use finer sandpaper. Or Junk yard for a new one.

i cant see the pics, but if theres heavy sand marks, u will need to gradually go up with sandpapers. 800, 1000, 1500, 2000

going from a super low grit to a super high grit wont do anything

I put it back for now! All my other pieces look great. I will look into getting a new one. If anyone is selling I am interested... LOL

epic fail... a lot of sanding - 400, 800, 1200, 2000, 4000. and then paint.
