Ridin' the Blue
this was pretty funny so bear with my lousy story telling and you might get a laugh.
-on the way home from washing the car, and after cruising around a bit to make sure it was all dry(hate garaging it while wet), i headed back towards my apts, came up to a light where the road was about to go from 3 lanes down to 2, with the 3rd turning into a right hand turn. i was in the middle, just waitin with the windows down, takin in the cool breeze, and a 02 style rsx,(i assume not a type S, cuz no badge or giant wing) rolls up next to me, the only reason i looked over at it was because i saw him coming like a mile away with is bright ass lights, hids i would bet. even though i dont normally allow people to cut me off when their lane ends, for some reason i didnt think this car was gonna do anything(couldn't see driver, real dark tint) but the light turned green and before i could even start, this guy launched, a good one too! no tire spinning or nothin, grabbed real quick, and got two lengths ahead(his car, space for a car, then my car. is that two or one?:th_nervous::th_jester
before i started going. so of course i got on it after i started rolling a little bit, and instantly started gaining, and as i passed it with ease, i heard the turbo spool, and see him get a CRAP shift, looked like his car was about to take a nose dive into the dirt lol, no joke. but in less then probably 5 seconds i went from 2 cars behind to having my rear bumper even with his front.
I laughed my ass off, because not only was it funny that he tried to get in front of me(like HOW DARE HE, LOL) plus, he was a total douche driver. when the light turned green i let off brake to roll a little before gassing it, and then smoothley floored i(meaning didnt just MASH it,-im tryin to save my tires cuz im giving em to my bro when my new wheels come), this guy takes off instantly and i still pass him like nothing. he musta had a real cheap turbo or somethin. I admit, i don't know much about turbos, but it didnt seem to get him much. even better, when it came up to my turn, i started signaling waaaay early so he could follow into the Walgreens right before the apts, i wanted to see what he had under the hood, but he just kept on goin, didnt make any noise or nothing. i guess i should expect to much from those, cuz lookin at the specs, even the type S has very little torque, peaking at a high rpm, same with the HP. but still, a turbo, and how much lighter it is, i would expect a little more. the worst part of it was when i went into the property, waiting for the gate to open, the sprinklers came on and got my drivers side wet!! KARMA!!!:th_jester:
