I have been called out by a civic kid. He has a 96 civic coupe ex. He wants to run for money. Supposedly he has a k20 swap and thinks hes going to run mid 12's :th_scratchhead:(he is a big b'ser, ive known him a while). My friend called me saying hes talkin all this b.s (typical ricer talk) that he's going to race me for money and rip me :p. He won't tell me anything else and i don't really trust him, so doing a run for money is out of the question (im not retarded). I do still want to run him though. If all he really does have is a k20 swap in his coupe, how do you think i would do? Keep in mind i raced my other friends 08 si 4dr (k20) with my n/a setup and hung very well, it was dead even from a stop till about 60ish then he pulled ahead by half a car.

-1.9 y/t's
-L76 v/springs
-N* w/ Lq4 maf (open cone)

^civic coupe knows about some type of s/c thats going on my car but, he dosen't know about these other little goodies in-between :th_laugh-lol2:

I know, I know i had a thread comparing cam's, but I just can't afford that right now. I figured 1.9's would be sufficient. On another note, i am saving for the s2 i/c. Do you think i need the s2 to beat him? if so my entire top swap will be delayed :th_angry2:.

^lolz at pic. I know that he isn't going turbo, just n/a with bolt-ons and maybe k-pro is my guess.
 
Put 100 bucks on it and make sure someone is holding all the money I bet he won't have any money on him
 
Race for a McChicken or something...no big deal if you win or lose and if you lose, just spend another buck and you both will be happy!
 


I'd ask to see what he's running before racing. K20's in a light car can be made fast and if he's done the work it may be fast. Not sure about 12's fast maybe high 13's fast...maybe. Not that i know a lot about honda's though. I agree throw down $10 and have a fun race.
 
the thing is, is he's now turning it into a grudge match, telling everyone how hes gonna beat me. I think its retarted but, it really pisses me off that hes sayin s%$#. I want to be sure i smoke him.
 
Well bro honestly I don't know sh** about hondas except for they suck and I've never lost a race to one in any car I've ever owned. Having said that as far as I'm concerned even if u lose ur car is better in every way. Just my opinion. Good luck bro and I'm sure ull toast em no prob
 
I say you play the grocery getter card. When you go there just tell him "I hope you ready, the grocery getter just dropped of the kids and wife at the house. When your honda breaks I'll give you a ride home." Just say some stupid **** like that. lol
 


i honestly wouldnt worry about it , still a 4 banger w/o turbo so no matter what its not gonna be that quick. i think you will have him easy. on another note, you could always stark callin out numbers to him, i hate how ricers use those damn numbers thinkin they are all cool and fast and ****... tell him you have an l67 lol
 
lol yeah they love using #'s. :th_blahblah: "oh my b20 with b18 vetak head is so out." It gets annoying after a while, along with their exhaust notes. Ive really grown to hate honda's. As far as the gorcery getter idea, i like it. I want to fill my car with friends and have that cling on that says "baby on board" on the back window. I just want to see his face when my s/c screams and passes him like he's standing still. Oh and don't worry, i will get it on video :).

p.s- I just have to be sure i beat him, or else i will never hear the end of it :th_angry2:
 
yea i know, i never said i could beat the altima ser i raced, and did it in front of the school just to see what i had and he got me by a length by 95 and i still havent heard the end of it. I dont care, because i know that with a decent tune he would have nothin on me and after i put my other stuff on him it wont be a race anymore.
