i hate tolls

went to NJ yesterday and must have spent $30 on tolls what a ripoff and they complain the state is broke!!!!!!!!!!! B.S.
 




well, im not part of the government, nor do i read any of the bills passed along the way...but tolls are meant to keep the highway in order. if that isnt the case then so be it, but that was their intended use.
 
welcome to new jersey!!! this place sucks, as far as tolls and the road quality!

but i must say in the last few years there has been a lot of repaving done, on the turnpike and garden state parkway.
 
As gay as tolls are I think they make more sense than using taxes. Think about it, the ppl that use it pay for it, not everyone else. How can you argue that?
 
A private party owns a bridge that is crossed by thousands everyday. They are finally after 40 years completing the HWY so that bridge will no longer be the main crossing, so they upped the crossing amount by more than $2 to get every last $ they can before the new bridge is going.
 
A private party? I was not aware this bridge was privately owned, as far as I know most bridges are owned by the government, that is what I was talking about.
