Yesturday i wanted to dress my engine up a tad and i bought alot of jet black wire tubing and put it all over my engine compartment..... and i discovered that there is a vaccum line on the left side by the supercharger..... haha anyways im drivin to the store and my tach is bouncing hardcore and almost hits 0 as in the car is dead..... im freaking out oooooo crap what is wrong..... i started it back up drive it to town and get out in a parking lot it dies out..... o no... take the cover off i must have bumped the line becuase it was off and i hear it whilstling when i popped the hood... long story shot i got pretty scared!! and i had a service engine light soon come on after this all happened??? what was that about?? it went away though =] man whata scary day it was yestruday!:th_thumb-down:

ses was probably because of a lean condition because your fuel trims were WAY off because of the vacume leak....

yeah i thought it would go away as it did driving down the road about 6 miles it kicked off =] thats when my stress went away haha

sometimes if youre boosting pretty hard people have said that they nipple on the LIM has popped off. never happened to me though.

ooo lol gotcha so thats a need haha could this cuase a drop in my fuel gauge from driving only like 10 miles? cuz a bit of my fuel is gone and i just filled up haha...

It wouldn't affect your fuel unless it threw your trims out of whack from the unmetered air.

If you want a scare, try this...

While working on the car I had to unplug some electrical connections and vacuum lines from the throttle body. Try starting the car with the IAC unplugged, TPS unplugged, and the vacuum line at the TB removed. :th_laugh-lol2:

Lots of squealing noise. Engine lugging, then die. Then I realized what I did. :th_winking:

punched it from a stoplight, gas pedal hits the floor and car goes WOT. accelerator is stuck as im flying up the street. quickly put it in neutral and shut her off. turns out the rubber from the wizair tube got stuck in the throttle blade.:th_shakinghead1:

When I did my XP, headered, ported gen 3 42.5 top swap on my GT I did something kind of stupid, It was 11 at night I was pissed since nothing was going right, thought everything was done, and I started my car, ran really really rough, but it had a ****ty tune, anywho I found out I ended up not hooking up my rear 3 injectors :th_wtf: and it ran, and idled by itself. . . . 3cyl ftw

shortly there after my MAF, MAP, and O2 all died. . . . I melted my 5 volt referance wire on my rear header, put 400 miles on it with no working sensors, only code I has was a MAF code, and both did it run pig rich, and I had to two foot it at every stop, needless to say, no dyno day for me. . . . .

so I ordered a N* kit thinking my maf was dead, then I found out my LQ4 didn't work. . . . I later found the problem, after I tore my blower off because of a blower gasket boost leak. . . . and then 2 months later my trans went out. . . . . it's been a super problem child but I think it likes me again and we are on our way

i called my old truck "1990 bronco 2" my lil slut whore haha she cost me so much money in upkeep and new parts and GAS ALONE! lol

lmao has this happened with any1 else

I had a a Camaro, and I forgot to plug back 2 plugs on the intake. So later that day im driving to work and my car is *****ing saying "Check Engine"... Pulled over and popped the hood. Plugged em back in and I was good to go :)
