• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I am happy to say that after fighting an uphill battle with my SSEi for the past 1.5 years, I can now drive it again with a smile on my face! :th_biggrin3:

I orginally took my car to Dave to get a set of L32 heads, ported, polished and installed. I ended up getting that done along with getting my current "performance" trans rebuilt properly (Omar...whoever you are..you suck at building transmissions.:th_wtf:), a partially collapsed flex 3" DP replaced, leaky fuel log fixed, my GenV machined (inlet and outlet) and a tune.

Dave was the upmost professional and was great to deal with throughout the process. He ran into serveral issues and worked through all of them without cutting corners.

Just before I left with the car, Dave started to show off a bit. He went and grabbed a torque wrench to double-check the lugnuts before I drove back to Chicago. :th_king-normal:

Here's some pics of his work:

Also, thanks to IndeedSS and PRJ for being willing to help out with my potential TOG issue!

I hope that I'll finally hit my goal in the coming month to be the first non-sponsored 2000+ Bonneville to run 12s in the 1/4.

To make up the flow blocked off by blocking off the Coolant passages in the Throttle body
^^^
The rear head gets metered coolant flow, some of which goes through the TB..... So when you block off the TB coolant passages, you must make up for it somewhere:

you can see it is on the LIM right under the EGR port :)

Yeah I know where its at, i've replaced that gasket before. I've never heard of anyone doing this mod and i've had my TB Spacer for many years. What are the side effects of NOT doing this mod? My car runs cool overall, especially with the addition of a 1-3/8" rad.

There are many people out there who haven't done this mod with TB spacers, so I know i ain't the only one in the dark on this. From what I remember, that plate allows for flow, correct?

I don't see how blocking the passages on an S/Ced car would hurt anything, I donno on a GT though...
