:( im so screwed i had a previous failer to yeild ticket in my old truck i said w.e and jsut paid it 75 bucks... anyways tonight after work i went out with my gf and her buds to go play pool... afterwards we were goin to Dunkin Donuts right up the street... i the showoff i am pulled a sweet burn in a lot were the pool place is and ebraked onto the main road to go to dunkin D i felt so badass in my sexy gtp haha. little did i no a cop was coming in the on coming traffic....... he wips a u-e and follows me jsut to piss me off and we get to dunkin D. lights..... :th_depressed: anyways i pull over knowing he saw me pull that little stunt..... this guy scared the crap outta me i give him that... he said im prolly going to jail for reckless deriving... etc etc.. so at this point im sh1tin a brick... he takes my insureance and license... so he comes back acting more tough.. hes like well i was a kid once.. he give me this story as if i was off the hook.... then he wipes out a citiation as if he was a smartass... i got pissed and held it inside... so now im driving on a ticket... i 1 more stirke after this ticket if i just pay this 1.. but im not going to imma attend the traffic school crap. does anybody know the fees and stuff for IL?? im so dissappointed in my self right now you have no idea.. my g-f was also in the car with me and she was like hell yeah that was sweet. then i saw the M on the car coming towards us and i said O FUK im done 4..... ending in a ticket...:th_nervous:
 


Sucks to hear that man, that's why I try to limit my burnouts to places not in town lol. Why not just attend the safe driving course to clear the ticket off your record? It's not that bad, just a little long. Although the one time that I went, there were several hotties in there also so that might have helped with my boredom :th_biggrin2:.
 
lol yeah IL is ILLINOIS lol and ywa dekalb man imma attend traffic school its 30 bucks plus my 75 tickey so thats 105 shot to hell =[

In the long run it will cost less to take the class, since your insurance will go up if you decide to keep the ticket.
 
take the class, pay the ticket, and take it as a lesson learned. easy with those burnouts you dont want this to happen...

The class is boring. although it is funny to watch the videos. I had taken one about 5 years ago..... The teacher was an old retired guy who just poked fun at all the 18year old kids.

good times.

take the class, pay the fine, and stay in a parking lot. private property....cop cant come on unless called.
 
good info every1 haha the ticket wasnt for reckless driving it was for failiure to yield so i gotta huge break there
 
yea you did. i dont know about up there but here in GA if your under 21 and get a reckless driving ticket its automatic suspension of lisence.

atleast take it to a good designated area. middle of town is not the best places for these things. plus there is more trafic. just to risky.
 
that happened to me in my nova, told the cop I was just trying to get into a lane and traffic was not letting up.(it was kinda busy intersetion) let me go.
 
lol this was at almost 12 oclock at night NOT TO MANY PEOPLE on the dtreets lmao but im glad u gotta break man! =]
 


ive been to like six defensive driving clases. lis suspended a couple of times then a few time to lower my points.

it is pretty boring how they teach class but dont just pay no attention. they actually tell you some good info about laws and other things. everytime i go i learn something new. it makes you more aware of hazards and helps you to become a safer driver. i would deff recemend it to people
 
Slamming on your parking brake (different from an e-brake) like that will cause you to screw up your rear rotors or the parking brake shoes. Showboating has its costs...

I'd say take the class, learn your lesson, and be glad you didn't have to learn it with a crashed car, exploded differential, or non-working rear brakes.
 
idc about the brakes they are all being replaced sunday morning along with baer rotors WOOOO =] and yeah i feel so dissapppointed in myself. the ticket says i dont have to show up for my court date so when i go to pay my ticket at the office i say i want tarrific school and they give me a forum to fill out and i pay for the tiocket and the shchool at the same time correct?
 
I went to court for a ticket (mine was a wreck though). Judge let me pay it with 8 hours of community service and said it wouldn't go on my record if I went to a defensive driving class. Still had to pay court fees.

On the speeding ticket I went to court for, the judge dismissed the ticket and just let me pay court fees ($55 instead of $102).

Go to court man. The fact that you show up shows that you have interest in what happens to you and gives you a chance to speak with the judge. In my experience, they'll usually cut you a break if you don't have a lot of previous offenses.

And you say you don't care about the brakes. What about your parking break shoes? They're incredibly thin and wear through very fast if applied while moving.
