so everybody check out my latest investment... i love it, would be nice if it was black, but ill get it painted sooner or later. let me just throw a :th_thumbsup-wink: to Shawngtp. got the hood from him, he did awesome work and was great to work with. high quality, good paint, everything was good. if you wanna buy something, buy his stuff lol let me know what you all think! (be as rude as you want i wont b*tch)

five, im almost positive hes making more, idk what he has on it right now though.
zr1 i thought about the dual scoops and i wanted it but this worked out better for me and not only that but NOBODY has this hood. so i wanted it for that reason too. plus its just looks awesome IMO
 
that thought passed through my mind, but honestly, how much of a difference will it really make performance wise? plus idk if i wanna take the risk of Fing it up if i were to do it myself
 


true, if you plan on keeping it n/a the cooler air is better for your motor generally speaking. you wouldn't see any gains, but it'd be a nice touch and would make a nice addition to the thread:th_thumbsup-wink:
 
hahaaha that is a very good point, plus i can throw away more money for a nice chrome grille for it haha. next for apperance is either halos or probably figure brushed alunimum grilles. id like to go chrome or maybe black chrome but they're too costly
 
i would make it functional its kinda dumb just a chunk of fiberglass sitting on there IMO but otherwise it looks sick
 
too make it functional id have to cut a hole in the scoop and the underside of the hood, i cant see that being easy, for basically just a little bit of a apperance upgrade, because its really not aiding performance, at all. plus unless its parked and your looking for it you cant really tell it isnt functional, especially if im driving by you just see the scoop and would assume it is, or i would anyway.
 
Please make the car fast to match/back up the hood.

The under-hood was about like pulling the pants down on a ken doll and realizing there's nothing there.
 


that was quite a comparison, and i know and couldnt agree more. i believe whats next will be some speeddaddy headers, maybe a hv3, and maybe rockers. not too sure about the hv3 and rockers but headers i definitley want. besides those 3 what else should i really get to make a n/a move? besides a m90?

Its not fiberglass for one :th_shakinghead2: and what would the gains be? MMM not much.

Open up the scoop from the outside. I am not saying make it functional, just make it LOOK functional. If you had a grill on the hood, it would really change they way it looks. Right now, it is a block on the hood.

Other than that, it looks sweet.
 


turbo would never happen, theres no way im spending as much money on a turbo as i did for the car, especially when its a daily driver lol its just wouldnt make sense to me.
alkygto, thanks i like the tan on black too i didnt at first but now i love it not as many people have it and it sets it off and has a nice contrast imo.
TCO, not that i really care about this but if i were to do that, it'd actually make it slower because it would act as a parachute and trap all the air making it less aerodynamic. BUT, if there is anyone who has done or can find a write up on how to do it, i might consider it but even then idk. i think its just too much risk for too little reward.
 
dude that hood is gay as hell.... makes ur car look like sh1t. cant believe u bought that POS.































jk jk... that hood rocks... as i told shawn before functional ram air would have been better. oh yea and u need charcoal interior.

for all you body work guys, im assuming there's more to it than just cutting a hole in it, so what exactly do you gotta do?

the only way i'd really be interested in gray interior is id its the two tone special edition leather. i LOVE that interior. but i'd want everything to match (rug, console, dash, headliner, etc.) grey seats and everything else tan wouldnt look right
