A NA neon beat me.



!Okay now that I have your attention! LOL I didn't know we was racing!! hahaha. So the story goes! Last night before I headed out to the club I took my daughter to get her some food. Well we are sitting at a redlight when I hear a horrible exhaust and some LOUD music look over there is a neon! He has some kind of strange hood and a high back wing! I know for a FACT its a NA neon. the street scene here in Searcy is pretty tight! Everyone knows everybody who has anything! lol. So my daughter ask "Whats wrong with his car" I laugh and say nothing. Well since she is with me and we arent on a track there is NO WAY I would try to race him. I had a gut feeling he was going to try to race me so when the light turned green sure enough he floored it and I let off the brake and just went on. Well a lesson everyone should learn! Dont talk crap about someone!!! So I get a call this morning from my cousin she asked me was you in searcy last night..I was like ya why? She was telling me about a guy in a neon that was talking about he KILLED a BADDDDD SC GP! LOL Well for one my car is stock! 2 it has no badges on it! and 3 I never got on it so he would have NEVER heard of the SC! I told her abotu the car I seen and she said YA that was him!!! I said well maybe there is some other gp I don't know about! She said and a redhead with the SAME exhaust stickers too?! LOL So come to find out he is "bragging" about "beating" me! LOL. So a close friend of mine was there and told him to come to the local track Sunday I would FOR SURE be there and he would LOVE to see him race me! So I guess im going to let the 07 hit the track for the first time!!! This should be pretty fun! He said he has a 200shot...rmmm lol. If nothing else I will race him in the Camaro! LOL I wasent going to post this cause it was stupid but after him running his mouth! LOL I had too!!! I will for sure let you guys know how the GP does and if I do beat him!! LOL
 


200 shot on a motor that is pushing maybe a lil over a hundred on motor. this should be intresting.

LOL, Well I enjoy having my daughter in my life! :th_nanana: Soooo he can run his mouth! I just PRAY he comes tomorrow and I hope this rain stops!!! grrrrrrrrr
 
I wouldn't give him the time of day. Most of those people you just gotta ignore because they are prone to do something stupid, either to you, or around you. He probably doesn't even know what a 200 shot is. Stick a nitrous bottle in your trunk and if you go to the track tell him you will run him without the nitrous and proceed to take the empty bottle thats not even hooked up out of your trunk.
 


i had a friend that claimed that he beat me with his sunfire once when i was driving the camaro. He bragged and bragged all day at work the next day about it, claming that i was gettin on it and he was walkin me.

So that night after we left, i made sure that i lined up with him on the light and walked up and down his ricer ass.

It was delicious.
 
200 shot on a NA neon......talk about a melted pile of engine metal, those motors cannot handle that pressure at all stock. And I doubt he ripped the engine apart just to put a bottle on the thing.

You cant even run a 200 shot on a 5.7 Stock.

ha shut up. thats what i ran with an intake and a few issuies. i was only traping 91 when most with stock gtps are traping around 94-95.

lesson learned, the computer does take a few days to relearn, dont reset it RIGHT before you go to the track.
 
Well he never showed up! But I did run the prix...Okay now my math might not be good but the track that is closes to me is only 1/8 the best time was a 8.7 (13.6ish?) My car is pretty much stock besides the intake and exhaust i took my spare out let some air outta the tire LOL and the BIG ol' bag of ice that sat on the SC for like 30min!! hahaha.I was hitting 9's and then some guy told me to try it with ice so I did and WOW the Supercharged LOVES cold!!!! LOL And sorry if my numbers are off im not good estimating! And the slip don't show 1/4mile time. Its a private ran track so not really funded good!
 
Well, when I ran my 13.4 I trapped 8.6 @ 82 mph...but that was with 2.93's...now I got 3.29's so it is a whole new ball game.
 


Jess, are you intercooled too?

ive seen the ice trick on the blowers and turbos before but those in combination of a air to water IC or even a spray bar will greatly wake up that huffer you got.
 
Okay, So my mouse is going dead and Ihave no batteries! GRRRRR!!! But my car is stock! I put a towel on my sc and laid a 20lb bag of ice on top of it and let it set for 30min. I ran the car about 6 times and I only hit the 8.7 once but was gettig 8.8,8.9 most the time. My first 3 runs I was getting 9.0,9.1 and thats when a older man told me to try that! I was VERY VERY VERY surprised with it! I never even thought that would make a difference but I did it! On the 8.7@80mph. But that could be WAY wrong! Cause on my time slip it it showed my tree was .789 (LOL) But I treed the guy I was running beside and his showed a .516 soooo There thing is jacked up! But a guy told me that my times up top should be right. I have NEVER ran a stock car but I was VERY surprised at what the car did! Now im even more excited about modding it! lol!!! If I don't leave out soon I might take it to memphis they have a 1/4 track and run it there.
