no big deal since all i have done is a modified air box. also, i wasn't able to race from a dig. but anyway, stupid mazdaspeed 3 pulls up next to me on an off ramp light. and since there was a turn to get onto the street. we both didn't gun it. which means that by the time we both got done turning, i was already in 2nd. but she did down shift. had him til' about 55-60. then he pulled on me! from what i've read tho/seen. those cars have some power!

Buddy of mine has one. Mazdaspeed CAI, Catback and Lowered. Threw down a 13.8 @ 106. We showered those stock tires in VHT Trakbite. It is pretty quick up top though. He can nose on me on the highway for sure but I have him the the 1/4. Stock ones are down about 30HP since Mazda claims the intake alone adds 20HP ;)

ROFLMFAO!!!! well anything can happen on the street!! i just noticed in the other post you have a stock 98 gtp!! wow the driver of that speed3 needs to learn how to drive a 6 speed manual!! if he could drive he would have TOTALLY F*CKED YOU UP!! what now f*cking b*tch!!

Easy......I would have to agree the Speed-3 needs the driver mod. I tried to keep up with one on the interstate in my gtp with just an intake and it was a lost cause.

lol, ya same here i went on the highway & tried it @ a 60mph roll & i have to say it was hilarious!! from a dig i can get a real nice jump on him but once he's in 2nd forget about it!! BOOST lol!!!!!
 


well this dude I know has one and I can run with him n my 02gt,he gets me by a car length....(he has no 2nd gear tho! lmao)

30-60... hell mine got squrriely if I mashed the throttle @ 30 in 1st gear lol. If you know how to launch, the gtp it strong from a dig or a slow roll ( in stock or near stock form).

They are pretty stout even in stock form. Stock for stock a speed 3 will whoop a gtp esp. on the highway. The gtp will dominate from launch to mid range, but lacks the top end and thats where the Mazda will be at its best due to the turbo being fully spooled up. Turbo cars are made to be top end performers.
