Hey guys i'm justin, first off i didn't want to put this into the intro section cuz more people go to the lounge section, i know this from other forums, they are all set up pretty much the same. Anyways i use to have a '98 silver 2dr gtp with all of the supporting mods for a 3.4 pulley, slp headers, slp catback, 1.9 yellow terra's etc. I really wanted to go intercooled but i had to sell it. Now that i'm having a kid i got a 4dr gtp well heres the story.
i see a stage 2 intercooler on wbstore for $899 which doesnt seem to be a bad price, and i would also like 1.9 rockers and all the supporting mods, my goal would be to get to a 3.0 pulley safley. Anyways the story about my car, well i paid $3200 for it, and the guy claimed it had a bunch of mods which wasn't true, first he didn't have any paper work, but he took me for a ride and it seemed fast, it has an asd hood on it. well he said theres a 3.4 pulley an overkill pcm and a xp extream cam if i remember correctly. Well the pulley looks stock to me, when i took it home i got it to go 124 and thats all she wanted to go soo i'm guessing it has a stock pcm, when i asked the guy the next guy if he was sure about the pulley and pcm he said well thats what i was told it had. Then i asked if his cam was tunned and he said no. it sounded cammed cause it has a loop to it but the engine shakes and it looks like the motor might need motor mounts or something,and the other day i see it had a vacuum line going to the tb disconnected because the rubber peice was roted soo i put alot of ultra hi temp black rtv on the cracked area's soo i'll put that back on tomorrow and see if it idles fine. Cause it idle's crappyish as if it is cammed but once you give it gas it's smooth. He said it had a zzp tb but he put the stock one on because he wanted 4k for it and i offered 3200. it has a stock exhaust system, but it was loud but i discovered it had a hole in one of the mufflers. And there's no other signs of mods, i havent had time yet to see if the pcm is aftermarket or not im guessing it will have a sticker saying it's from overkill. well the body is in great shape with no rust or rot, hardly any scratches, the interior is mint, the heat works great, the a/c blows cold. he said it had 94k on it and the cluster cracked doing something soo he had another one and it has 171k on the cluster thats in the car right now, but he did ask me if i wanted to see it but i guess i didnt pay attention. but the leather seats are in great shape, even the drivers seat doesnt have that normal wear that cracks on the left rear part of the seat from sitting down and getting up soo much soo maybe that is alittle proof that it is indeed 94k. He defently knew alot about cars he showed me pics of his old 347 stroker procharged mustang, and a bunch of rice burners that were nice, and i found it funny cause he lives in a dump trailer at a trailer park and he has rotten teeth but he kept saying i dont sell drugs hmmm. He also said it has a built tranny, but he got cheap and didnt get a stall converter. on the side of the tranny it says goodwrench soo maybe it is a built tranny. Also it has one of those short cai with a tiny filter, is that meant to operate fine with the sd hood ? Well that's what's going on, I'm sorry for writing soo damn much.

oh well i met alot of nice people and learnt alot from modding my old gtp, its a great experience, i just wish i knew about this forum.
Im new here to , seems like a great place for grand prix owners
