I can't take my key out of the ignition!



I've been having this problem sporadically. Just got a new battery & the problem stopped, for a while. I know how to fix it now thx.
 
I had trouble taking the plug out because it looked like I would need a female torx bit to remove the holding screw... then I realized I wasn't ever going to want my key stuck and I didn't want the tie-wrap to come off in winter, so I just broke it off. If I ever wanted to put a new one in (which I won't) I can always buy one.

I just got a new battery and it still happens...

I took that part out and I'm very happy now.
