So I hooked my stereo and amp up today and after running all the wires and putting my carpet and seats back in I was hooking up my amp and realized I didn't run the damn remote wire does anyone know what color wire i can hook the remote wire up to in the trunk????? Thanks for helping an absent minded person

I dono of any wires in the trunk but you could simply tuck the remote wire its so small it would easily fit under the trim an noone would ever know it was there
all my wires are tucked none are under the carpet an you cant see any of them the only place they are at all visible is under the pass seat cause thats where i put my amp

Hes not lookin for a keyed wire hes lookin for a wire in the trunk he could use as the remote in the trunk. remote goes from the back of the headunit to the amp. This wire tells the amp to turn on or off when the headunit is powered on or off. So he would need a wire in the trunk powered on by the headunit that he could use so he wouldnt have to rip all the carpet an stuff back up to run the remote with everything else. If he hooked it up to the ignition the amp would always be on when the car is on which is pointless if the radio isnt always on. The radio fuse would prob work for that probably but thats not in the trunk so he would still be runnin the wire to the trunk anyway which is what hes tryin not to have to do since it would go under the carpet with the rest when he just put everything back in. An if hes gonna run it from there he might as well run it from the remote wire on the headunit instead. Overall my .02 is either run it with the rest or tuck it. Remotes no big deal. An to get it into the trunk take the back seat out and run a coat hanger up under the black pad thats under the back seat cushions (prob close to the edge is best) it will pop up in the trunk.

no you just need a 12v source thats bout it it doesnt have to run to the radio as long as you run it to anything that has 12v then hook up a switch your good no point in takin the radi back out

See if there is a power antenna or CD changer harness in the trunk. There should be a remote turn on circuit there...
