HVAC Blower intermittent

Working on a 2004 Comp G. Fan works sometimes. It either will work flawlessly or not at all.

I disconnected the blower motor and found a strong ground, but no power. Disconnected the wire harness from the resistor. Found a weak ground in the middle, but nothing on the rest.

Should I be suspecting the HVAC control unit next?

GM decided to make it so that 15 amps of current has to flow through a tiny f****** electrical terminal in a multi wire connector located behind the radio and HVAC consoles. This large red wire will typically have a burned terminal and the connector mean not unplug anymore you will have to cut it and directly spliced them. oftentimes just wiggling the connector will restore power for a short time.
