hv3 l36 /l26 interchance

Hi, so I have an hv3 for an l36 that I am trying to get to work with my l26 upper/lower manifold. I have been told it works with some grinding of the hv3 to get it to fit in the upper.. but I have my intake and the hv3 that is for an l36... but I can not seem to get the lim runners to match up to it. am I wasting my time with this? I see the part about shaving it down to get it to fit in the upper, that I have no problem with. but not matching with the lim runners/gasket seems to be a pretty big issue. anyone chime in on this? or should I just give up and sell the damn thing and hope to find one to fit an l26 setup?

 


Try turning it around. You might find it lines up better. Overall though..there's a decent amount of work to get one to fit.
 
i'm not worried about shaving it to fit in the upper, I am concerned that the cutouts for the runners do not seem to line up with the runners on the lim at all no matter what direction I set it on.. if the runners don't line up, it is just going to make a turbulent mess of the air rather than funnel it into the runners smoothly. anyone have a pic of an l36 hv3 sitting on top of an l26 lim?
