Hunting at an idle

Hopefully someone can give me some ideas, I've pritty much exhausted all mine. I have a 03 GP 3.1 170+ KM and Itruns great down the highway but at an idle it starts to hunt go from 700 to 900 to 600 -1100-450 untill it stalls. If Im on the road and slowing down to make a corner it stalls. On a Snapon reader it says that Bank 1 is lean. It was suggested to unplug the MAF sensor and if it clears up to replace the MAF. Well I unplugged it and it idled and it seamed to clear up so I got a new MAF ($250) and put it in but that was not the problem. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks Buthead
Oh ya, any one looking for a MAF sensor, only used for 5 minutes.

i had a stalling problem with mine. usually it would only do it upon start up. i changed maf, i changed crank shaft pos sensor, there were no real codes . it did end up being the idle sensor. wat a pain that lil thing caused me lol.also on them 3.1 there is a wire going from the crank sensor to the ignition control module and it gets an open short in it, can short to self or to engine, exaust...anything it touches. let us know when u find it..thanks
