Had to have my GXP repaired after I hit a huge German Sheppard ($3300. worth) and I had the windshield replaced while it was there. I told my body man to put a regular windshield in it because I thought the HUD would still work and he dissagreed. After it was all said and done the HUD still works with a regular $225. windshield instead of a $600. windshield, so if you have a HUD car you can use a regular windshield if you have to replace it.
 


I can get a coated windshield for $225, if your getting quoted for $600 on a coated windshield your getting ripped off.
You could have gotten a regular windshield for $150 installed
 
I got a reg windshield and was posses as both were free. The reg just is.fuzzy and dim on bright. Days
