hud problem help please

i bought a 98 gtp about a month ago and the hud never worked. ive tried lookin for a answer on the computer but evrything says its the spring for the miror. but today as i was driving it came on the adjustment worked it went up and down but then dimed till it turned it self off and came on and off a few more time. anyone have any ideas on what the problem would be.. also my dic will start flashing 0 sumtimes and then go back to normal cant find anythign on the internet for soulotions for this any help much apreciated

Anyways, Id start searching this forum for related issue's and go from there. It sounds like yours still works, just kinda hit and miss like a loose connection or somthing.
 
yea i read sumthing before about pontiac doing a crappy job at sodering wires inside of the hud figured that was it till todayi just got in my car turned it on and the hud was on then turned off without me moving so bogles me thanks for the help tho man
