HUD No Longer Working

So I've been having issues with my HUD for a couple months, at first the HUD would get extremely dim to where I couldn't see it (even at night), then it got to the point where it would just cut off. I would try adjusting the height of the HUD and normally that would turn it on but eventually would turn back off after about an hour or so. Now it no longer turns on anymore, not even when the car starts, I can't even hear the HUD moving when I try to adjust the height of it anymore. Is my HUD done for or what?
 


I had the spring break on mu HUD. I turned HUD on looked at it through windshield and saw it working just not moving
 
Tried going outside to remove the HUD and couldn't even pull the cowl panel off because I was too afraid of it breaking it or cracking the soft part of the dash. I could fit a flathead screwdriver under it but there was no way to get any leverage considering the dash would just bend
