HUd color change?



I haven't taken a HUD apart before, but most the parts in our cars are white bulbs with colored faces in front of them. So bear that in mind.
 
The HUD is like the dash in that 300zx it might be possible to put the film over it but I don't think it would be bright enough
 
You can always do a swap for brighter bulbs. Or remove the color completely and go with colored bulbs.
 
Well if it's LCD then you can't really change the color can you? If it's green then whatever you tinted over it with would be green tinted with whatever color?
 


well i will just have to find a GP in a junk yard and use it as a test even though GPs are super hard to come by in my local junkyards i've only seen one and it was totally stripped already with no salvageable but ill look.
 
gp's are very common in my local scrapyard.. i found a gtp in there.. the engine still looked mint.. had an intense pcm or ecu? all i wanted were the badges but they were gone..anyway i saw one with a hud in it.. looked like an lcd screen to me

What? How? The yard I go to has literally like 50 of them. SE's, GT's, GTP's...everything. You can get basically ANY part you need for a GP from that place.
 


Right on..... There was a guy a while back that tried changing it and it got no where. Maybe you'll have better luck with it??? Also Kaden where in wisconsin are you from? There's plenty of GP's in my area.
