HUD - "check trip CPU"

Like the title says...

I'll start car and my heads up display will say "check trip computer"

I'm sure I can look manual, but seeing I'm at work this is more convenient....

Anyone have this happen? Why? What am I checking for?
 


Thhere should be some type of warning on your DIC (drivers information center). depending on your year it could be something like tire pressure, fuel warning, Traction control off, cruise control warnings, etc.
 
On my 04 GTP CompG it says that when you have the door open with the car running on the HUD's. =) If you close the door and the DIC doesn't say anything, you should be fine.
 
Just realized it happens on mine today. Its because I leave cruise enabled so the DIC just says cruise system on
 
i know this is an older thread but could it be saying the message if i am out of washer fluid even though it tells me i am out of washer fluid on the center display? is the center display the "trip computer?" just exploring some options. thanks!
