HP tuners credits

Okay so I just recently purchased HP tuners pro and I have a few questions regarding the credits. I know I can use 2 credits to unlock my car. But if I use 6 credits does that mean I can tune any grand prix or does that mean I can tune any 3800 series motor? Or do I have this completely wrong? I have read the HP tuners frequently asked questions, and it's still a little confusing.

it goes by the vehicle...

say you have a 2002 grand prix and buy 2 credits for it... you can then tune that vehicle and that one only as many times as you want. Or, if you use 3 credits on that same 2002 grand prix... you are then able to tune ANY 2002 GRAND PRIX. but not a 2002 regal for instance... just the grand prixs...

that answer your question?

Yep that makes sense. So I only need to unlock my car so I'll still have 6 credits left :-P

Keep in mind..

If you unlock only your car with two credits. Only your vin is unlocked. No other vin's will work. If you later decide to unlock the rest of the year, it takes 3 more credits, not two.

I always unlock a full year/model say like 2002 GP for 4 credits instead of doing one car 2 credits and then have to spend another 3 credits for the rest of the year. At $50 a credit..i'd rather spend $200 up front then $250 total

So using 6 credits unlocks just a year. For instance if I do 6 credits my 2002 grand prix and other 2002 grand prix vehicles would be unlocked? Or would it unlock 97-03?
