HOW TO: Solid Mounts

when I filled my engine mount with polyurethane, I just kept filling until it oozed out the holes. if I was going to tap the holes, I would drill the holes out so I could use my 3/8's npt tap, and make sure the plugs used are in there flush so the mount will sit flat.
 


When you say it oozed out the holes, are you referring to the two that I need to drill? The step with the missing picture I quoted talks about a hole on the bottom of the mount?
 
I have an engine mount that I filled with polyurethane but never installed because I ended up picking up a zzp poly mount. I can take some more pictures and post them later, or I can just sell the mount to you.
 
second one is worthless any ways. its just a pic of the mounts done. i can still see it tho. wonder why some can others cant?
 


Same here. Can see the first, not the second. PB is retarded now. Last night I was looking at a members page for some reference pics; I could view all pics in their index, but when I clicked on them, I could see the first 5 and not the rest. Tried a few more times with the same results so gave up. Today, I do the exact same thing, and can view all the pics. WTF.

I suspect they are doing this on purpose, as well as the 17 ads that pop-up and start at the same time.
 
right click the busted pic, then open in new tab, seems dumb but it works for me every time, might have to do it 3 times.
 


Thanks everyone! My mount I grabbed from Advance Auto I was unsure if it was hydraulic or not, and couldn't hear any fluid. The sales rep said since it was cheap compared to the AC Delco one that it was most definitely solid. I drilled the two holes last night and surprise surprise it was full of fluid. I drained most of it, will try to flush it with brake fluid today. I see that the Loctite PL Premium Construction Adhesive has been suggested a few times? Is this a good and viable solution or would I be better off with the more expensive Window Weld stuff from 3M?
 
I don't think it matters, it all dries hard. it might be a good idea to let it dry longer than it needs just so you know it will adhere better when you inject the adhesive.
 
initially I meant to let the mount dry of all the hydraulic fluid inside, but now that I think about it, I would let both dry for a good amount of time
 
i blew mine dry with compressed air, they were some what dry, then i let them sit for almost a week to cure after filling them.
 


Got them all cleaned out and let them dry for a good while out in the sun, and then filled it with Loctite PL Premium Construction Adhesive Polyurethane formula. I got it so full the bottom side has rubber pressed against the hole in the metal bracket.

all the ones I bought from here are solid. I had the same issue at autozone. saying it was solid but it wasn't.
