My stock mirror died so I bought an aftermarket one (no connections). How do I get the stock mirror off its mount?

Easy get a little flat head screwdriver and pry the old one off. Just stick the screwdriver into the bottom of the mirror mount between the bracket and the metal piece glued on to the glass, and start lifting little by little the mirror will just slide right off thru the top side of the metal piece.
