How to keep engine dry with ram air hood

has it ever done it again? also when was the last tune up? I would clean the engine good, then make sure all the wires are tight and tighten the grounds nd clean batter terminals

I never gave it the chance to happen again. Closed off the hole on the underside of the hood with duct tape right away. Not sure what my end solution will be, but this works in the short term.

Dont to know about the most recent tune-up. Car came with new plugs still in the box that I'll put in the car soon, but need a 3.4 pulley first cause the plugs are colder than stock.

Plugs are colder than stock so you need a 3.4 pulley eh...?
Hope you have more than a set of colder plugs to support that 3.4 pulley...

I say take the duct tape off the hole I think it was probably just a coincidnce that it stopped when you taped the hole. Like I said that defeats the whole ram air system. I got mine open and driven it in hurricanes and snow storms no problem

Please tell me you will have headers or some kind of exhaust mod before you try and run a 3.4 with just colder plugs and a filter....

Well then if youf so smart you should know you can run colder plugs without a smaller pulley
Everything I've seen on here says not to run Autolite 104's without swapping in a smaller pulley because the plugs would be too cold for a stock setup.

Wait, you're telling me that I can't just run a 3.4 with ONLY colder plugs and be OK? LOL!
SD Headers, ZZP 3" downpipe, 180* t-stat, etc. etc. etc. already installed. Only thing I'm missing for the 3.4 upgrade is the pulley itself!

Very nice! you can get away with cold plugs on a stock motor. When I bought my 3800 camaro (NA) it was running TR55s for some reason... (equivilant to 104s ish) and it was fine. And nice that they were there for when it went SC lol

Headers and a zzp downpipe?

Ahh... well he probably got rid of the 3" zzp dp when he put headers in. DP's go in the same spot the back of the headers do... can't really have both

I'm gonna have to get under the car this weekend and look around again. I'm gonna be pissed if he did lie!

Well... Headers > downpipe anyways. So it doesn't really matter. Headers replace the downpipe... and flow WAY more

It's just the fact that he lied to me. I've found other things on this car that he blatantly lied to me about also. The principle behind it is frustrating as all hell.
