how to improve fuel economy?

I am currently getting under 20 mpg with my car (GT sedan non s/c). Its all stock. Im looking for ways to improve the fuel economy on it. Most of my driving is highway.

Since i have picked it up i have done most of the general tune up things like changing wires and plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, fuel treatment.

Wondering about a CAI kit? Maybe some exhaust work and a tune or chip of some sort? Whats worth it and whats not?

Anybody else have any ideas? Also what is your fuel milage? Surely people are getting better then sub 20.

I figure a couple hundred bucks spent now would come back in fuel savings later.

A Cold Air Intake will actually hurt mileage. A Hot Air Intake will hurt power but help mileage.

I had put ported manifolds on my 97 GT, it liked it and gave me 1 more mpg.

are you judging your fuel economy off your DIC? or doing the math? The factory DIC's are not very accurate.......and fluxuate.

No im doing the math. And im adding in an extra 8% for the larger diameter tires. There is something not right, everybody i have talked to says they got closer to 25 or better with theirs.
