How to improve acceleration

ive read your guys stuff so u can relax i only asked because a friend of mine told me about them and i didnt see them mentioned anywhere in ur guide so i asked because i wondered if they did anything

Thats the most effective way to increase torque, not HP.
The supporting modifications required to run a smaller pulley are designed to free up the intake and exhaust, thus moving the powerband up, thus increasing hp (even without the drop in pulley). Adding the pulley on top of those supporting mods will indeed add horsepower, a lot of it.

The only time you're going to run a smaller pulley and not see a gain in power would be on the really small pulleys where you're running up against the blower's efficiency ceiling or if you're not running the proper supporting mods and you're getting knock but all things equal, a decrease in pulley size will definitely supply you with an increase in horsepower.

agreed, but unless you have a means to evacuate the additional air, you're probably going to net more torque than HP.

Thus the supporting mods which open up the exhaust in addition to the intake. And you're almost always going to see more torque gain than HP due to the nature of the roots blower.
