How to identify??

Ok I found this I think 01 Grand Prix se forgot the year and it has a cracked head,I found a 3.1 engine sitting out in the open beside a building,my question is how can I determine what year the motor is or would most 3.1 heads be the same,thanks

3100 are the same from about 96ish through 05 I think

How come the intake is different on a 03 cause my intake had to come off I think a 00-03

I know around the 00-01 area they switched to the 3400 intake and its bigger
