How to hook footwell lights to dash?

Ok im putting red LED lights in my car but i want the foot well lights to come on when its dark out. Is there a way to make them automatically come on with the dash lights? And which wires would i have to splice into? Also i understand i will need to rip the dash apart so that's fine If possible i would like them to also function as normal but if not thats ok as long as they come on at night when im driving ill be happy :th_laugh-lol3:

i had blue neons that came on with the gauges and it honestly made it hard to see at night.

but if you still want to do it, i hooked them to the headlight switch, i believe it was the brown wire but im not sure.

my friend did the same and he hooked them up to the headlight wire that lights up the radio

Would you be able run it into the dimmable switch for interior lights. Thatwould be sweet . I guess you can just install a dimmer switch probably

if you haven't already solved this, the easiest way would be to tap into the orange wire in the radio harness. I would recommend using a relay.
