How do I get the cam out of the car also I bought some ls7 lifters how do I tell the difference between those and the stockers?
I was in no way condoning this method.Hole saw maybe extreme. It's not that hard to drop side of sub frame. Do what you want it's your car.

the only good option is to pull the motor
most engines need the rear cover gasket replaced and while you have it out its nice n Easy to do the oil pan the valve covers and all the other gaskets that are probably leaking on a car with 100,000 miles
To do the cam bearings requires the special tool and removing the crank typically.
I for one do not change them. Likely they should be.
So do you guys replace the cam bearings when you change your cam on a used engine? Just curious. I know I wouldn't but I have seen plenty of people do that.
