how to fix wipers?

i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knows how to fix it. When i shut my wipers off today, instead of going all the way down they stay up like field goal posts. I dont know if there is any easy fix for this, just let me know what you guys think. Thanks

there's a small metal tab at the base of the motor that is supposed to help park the wipers in the right spot. if this tab is bent, or ice gets stuck under the transmission arm, the wiper arm can jump this tab and park at the top.

remove cowl, inspect area under/around the motor... there was another thread similar to this one with a linked pic of the tab.
