How-to delete EGR.

Well first off your car wont call for as much timing now since you deactivated the EGR (needs to be tuned) and the cylinder isn't being filled with "dead air" so it needs more fuel.

One can be fixed, one cant.

Fix one and that should go back up a little.

Show me the timing table where it pulls timing when you dont have the egr hooked up.

yes and no.

it lowers combustion temperatures because it is taking up excess space in the combustion chamber since its inert. the only time the EGR is active is during cruise, so there is absolutely no way that someone blew up their motor because they disabled the EGR.

they could have filled the whole with pea rock. :th_jester:

Yeah he adds timing in the cruise cells, the car does not pull any timing with out the egr. By adding extra timing you can regain any loss in mileage.

i barely lost any mileage. you have to run more timing at cruising areas to make good mileage, which the car doesnt have in stock form already.

dumb question. if you block the hole coming from the exhaust why would you need to plug the hole in the LIM? there's no air coming or leaving the egr at that point.

guess i'm just missing something.

my question is can i just leave the tube on the intake tube and do i just let the cord that plugs in the egr dangling down or can i cut it off

you can leave the egr tubes leading to where they're supposed to go for a "pretend" egr but you don't need to unplug it.

unplugging it is awesome.

granted the codes are deleted and your PCM is setup to increase timing in cruise to make up for the lost MPG.
