How to confirm the car is not a 04 Comp G?

Heys, im about to purchase a 04 GTP and im kind of thrown off. Ive read a bunch of times that in 04, only the Comp G could get the HUD display, not the regular GTP. Im looking at one today with leather, non red brake calipers and no tapshift, but it has a HUD display. Was it a option for a fully loaded 04 GTP?

It was a option or could of been added like a lot of the non HUD guys tend to do its rather simple. No tapshift < biggest clue it's not a comp g

Look in the trunk and see if it has the comp g rpo.

I had a regular 04 GTP. No red powercoated caliper. I and especially no tap shifter. But had HUD.

My 04 GTP CompG has HUD.. And tap shift that's a CompG only option.. No tap its not a CompG.

HUD is a option in any grand prix 04+.

Was a general comment on researching what your looking into buying, I always do a VIN search when looking at a new vehicle.
But thanks for adding the tapshift info someone else already posted and knocking the advice I gave him.
