How;s The Idler Come Off

How does the belt idler come off? I'm getting a lot of belt slipping at high rpms on a new belt.

You know that coolant elbow thread talking about removing the bracket. That's the way.

there's no bolt to remove the idler, you really have to replace the whole thing

the pulley comes off by turning the bolt in the opposite direction that you turn it to put a belt on.

The issue sounds like your tensioner is no longer keeping tension..which means you replace that bracket as teh tensioner is part of it.
