How much HP can our 3.8's handle ?

Hey it's been a while since of done any mods and am now deciding to take it a step further again. Im going to get a cam and everything that i need for it (springs and such). I have a stock tranny and am keeping it that way, so if it blows in a month i'll fully take the blame. Will i need a tranny torque converter ? Shortly after getting this cam im going to buy a meth injection kit. I'm just curious about how much HP that the 3.8L block and trannys can handle when it comes down to it. Appreciate all help. Thanks

hehe sorry... couldnt help it. ive seen dyno charts of them going well into the 400s, but thats just insane in my book. quite a few run into the 300s with ease, so id make that your goal unless you want to go crazy :th_thumbsup-wink:
