How Much Do Whipple Superchargers Add

Me and My buddy have a bet coming and i was wondering if you guys could help us out what i really need to know is how much horsepower does a whipple add to your car, He thinks it only add's 50hp and i called him crazy and told him for 4,000 buck it better be more them just 50hp, so does anyone know?

I don't personally know off the top of my head but 50 hp from just a swap out on a supercharger seems to be quite a bit. I think the greatest gains that come from it is doing the supporting mods to help gain hp because it is more efficient at getting the air in, therefore giving you more oppurtunities to make more power than you could w/ the gen 3 m90.

the only whipple dyno I've seen was 500hp, so, yeah whipples def add more than 50hp, the increased efficiency and ect add for a lot of power, but you cant just bolt it on.... that 500 hp was with supporting mods, so must be taken whit a grain of salt

yea kind of an unanswerable question in that throwing a Whipple on a car setup for the M90 wouldn't be ideal at all an vice versa, setting the car up for the Whipple an then throwing the m90 on it wouldn't be good either.

That being said it for sure adds more then 50hp though because the highest M90 dyno is like 410-12hp an the whipple one is over 500.

we are shooting for 700 crank hp on the WhippledRiv they really need intercooling... helped by the direct port foggers...

anyways bolt on whipple kits vary greatly, all setups are different thats the nature of gearheads...but the older 350sbc kits usually added 100-150hp pretty nice considering its pulling power from the crank to make it... so actual gains are higher
