HOW many times do you shift?

I have a 01 GT Special edition and i had the dreaded intake fixed and the guy told me that my car doesn't shift into third gear. I noticed this a while ago and i thought i was going crazy. When im on the highway and doing 70-80 my rpms are in the 3 1/2's and go up as the speed goes up. Does anyone know what could be causing this. The car runs perfectly fine by the way lol.
 


it means you have to crack open the transmission and replace the 4th clutch, aka 4th gear

In 97-02 year 4t65e's have a weak 4th clutch. There are ways to help the issue, like changing the 4th gear parameters with a tuner. Get a hardened 4th from trannyman's website, i hear these 4th clutches can be replaced in the car, its just a pita.
 


Pulling a transimission from your car yourself - Free (at which point I would just pay a shop to rebuild it for $200-$400)

Paying a shop and just doing a rebuild - $1000 or more
 
Hey now maybe it makes him feel better about himself and his car :) and quite possibly he doesn't know what a real v8 sounds like than lol
 


im just givin ya sh1t man :p lol like i say.. every1 has there own opinions on things.. Dont let other people stop u from sayin or doin what u want :D
