how many people speak spanish?



Ummm...working at a bank for a few years I picked up a few things...but nothing to carry on a conversation...but if you had a bank transaction...might be able to walk you through it LOL
 
i speak a little. was pretty good at it right out of high school, but now i would have a hard time going to mexico and understanding people.

not that i want swine flu.
 
Ive picked up more in the last 2 years working in the back at Steak n Shake than i did taking 4 years of spanish in school. i couldnt carry on a long conversation but i could get my point across.
 
Had to take it in high school for two years...I tried to forget it! I know enough to know when those pervs are talking about me!
 


Damn...I hate French...maybe it is because I have 2 gay neighbors that talk all the time in French and it just sounds creepy...wonder if they are talking about me...OMFG...gotta go puke be back.
 


I could go into a very long rant about our 'Latino" friends.
I don't know about the Latino population elsewhere besides Connecticut but I don't think it would be a good idea. We need to encourage them to speak our language ENGLISH more than what they do.
They don't want to speak English then pay them PESOS until they will and they should be happy to speak English.
 
I was in a couple of Spanish classes back in high school myself (because I had to have them to graduate) otherwise I pretty much refuse to learn it or any other language, this is America IMO. My family had to go through Ellis island and learn the language and such to come to this country, thats how it should still be. I don't feel the need to cater to them since there are many coming here illegally anyway who refuse to learn or language.

Like it or hate it, thats my opinion and I stand by it 100%. No i'm not racist either, just speaking the truth. My family had to go through it, everyone else should too.

I don't care if this new section exists or not, it don't bother me and it might be fun for others or even foreigners. Otherwise, i'll personally not use it myself. Good luck!
