How many miles is too many?

Looking at a '95 Grand Prix GTP with 217k miles.
See it here: ****95 GRAND PRIX GTP****

$1800 with that many miles... I'm worried about the engine, auto transmission, and undercarriage. Basically everything...

This will be a daily driver, where I drive about 800 miles a month.

What do you guys think?

get it checked out, miles dont really mean that much if alot of things have been replaced....although if they have....it could be a trend...

yeah put it up on a lift to check out the floors, lines etc, and make sure you take it for a bit of a drive at different speeds (city/hwy) to make sure everything is working right.

Miles never really bother me. When I buy a car I plan on driving it until it won't drive anymore. My Bonneville has 302k miles now on the original power train.

If it's beat to hell, in conjunction with high miles, it's a bad car IMO. A car that's been maintained and kept clean is usually a good buy.

See if the person has service receipts so you know what has been done. If they don't, then you are better much going on what you can see, and that is risky for a DD and a 800 mile per month average.

The ad was deleted, so maybe it sold.
