How many miles are you getting out of your 3.8 NA?

My buddy has a 99 GT with 330,000 miles on it and he has only put a intake on it cuz the egr melted it, other then that its never been touched and has never been driven nice either. his car is the reason i gave the grand prix another chance. all i ever had where the 88-96 body style and they where POS now i have two 99GTs one 2000 GT and a 97 GTP and i have never been so happy with a GM car in my life

and he has only put a intake on it cuz the egr melted it,

that was caused by a bad catalytic converter. too much back pressure. same thing happened to me.

ive put several thousands of dollars worth of repairs into mine since buying it in november of 08. bought it with 70,000 miles and it now has 100,000

Mine's got about 144,000 miles on it. All stock.

I'm hoping to get about another 60,000 miles on it and I'm only putting about 800 miles per month on it, so it should last me :)

Man i put 960 to 1000 miles on my car a month. I average 240 miles a week 60 mile round trip daily. :( Oh and i know i'm not a N/A but i have 157k on the car and "I'm NOT STOCK!" :D

I bought my 98 GT last summer with 28,000 exactly (it rolled over while I was test driving haha). Now it has 32,500. I'm hoping this car will last me till I die or crash it. Hopefully die not in a car crash. I'm planning on modding it quite a bit in the next few years then turning it into my winter beater when I get a solid job and buy a nice rwd car.

new job drive 90 miles each way figure 1k miles a week and get around 26ish with cruise at 80 then again i live in ND only hill is a train over pass lol.:th_laugh-lol2: Drive them they last longer!!

Got my 99 SE with 180,000 on it, I got 220,000 on it now. Still runs great. All I'ce replaced is the alt a few weeks ago. Runnin' smooth since then.

Well, I'm kind of an oddity. Bought mine stock with 50k on it in 2007. LIM gasket went at about 60k, thinking we caught it just in time we had it replaced under warranty right away. Buuuut, after that the motor spun a rod bearing at 63k.

So, still under warranty I got a crate 2008 L26 minus the upper/lower intakes:th_thumbsup-wink:

So, right now my 00 GT has about 85k on the car, about 22k on the motor

I got 100,000 and change out of the L36 that came stock. Oil pump died and the idiot lights failed. Now I've got an L26 from an 04 GP (86,000 miles on it) minus the intakes. Only 3 weeks and 700 miles on the used engine so far.

Open Cone Intake and im hitting 145k without any problems. Runs very strong, if I didnt know, id say it has 70 000 miles at most!

just turned 211000 on a 2000 gt, car has been the best thing ever!!! other than plugs and brakes had to replace the wheel sensor. It's a daily driver, still turns heads, quick as the day I bought it. Owned many cars in my 42 yr's other than my 70 Blazer this is the best buy far. The tranny is starting to vibrate when I get on it , but only from 2nd to 3rd

I have got 120,000 on the 99 gt runs good (when she wants to). Then 210,000 on the 98 with the3.1. (Runs like a champ):th_winking:

I can't believe how many miles you guys are getting out of this car. I guess mine has alot to go with 46000 on a 2000 GT

It's time for bushing swaps to happen. New lower control arms, motor mount, tranny mount, but 250k on them they have done their job.
