how many bolts?

Anyone know how many bolts there are from the bell housing to motor on the 3.8L grand prix(2005) ?

here is where the trans bolts up to the motor in our 05

the only one that you "won't see" is the one that goes in on the backside of the motor from the passenger side.

is there on on the bottom right near the manifold from the first pic? or is that just a dowel location? if there was a bolt there it looks as thou it would bolt into the transmission as in the 2nd pic it woul be the one closest to the long part where the axle to the passenger side wheel would go(right under the tie wrap)

I don't remember any dowel pins, but I could be wrong

I think there are 5 and there are 2 dowels but one i think has a bolt go through it.

Yes you are correct 4 bolt into the motor and 1 bolts into the tranny

if your leaving the engine in the car, this pic shows the backwards bolt. you need a long extension to reach it from the pass side wheel well. air tools are optional.
