• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

How is this little gadget for reading KR and more ?

ok good! nothing worst than delayed info! i'll pick one up tonight then. Just got done odering everything, hopfully I wont see no KR. I'd like to do the 1.8 yella terra's to completely eliminate the kr but I'll wait this summer. I heard the ported tb and ported s/c is a waste too unless doing a intercooler. I'm just trying to find anything else I can do to eliminate the kr for somewhat cheap. I'd figure the 3.5 was a better choice then the 3.4 and the 3.6 doesn't seem like id gain much.

Rockers aren't always going to eliminate KR. Do the mods, check for KR, tune to help KR.

i'll be getting a mail order tune from either zzp or intense, I'm no good at tunning or even trying to learn, and theres nobody in my state that does it.

Would it be fine to get the pcm now than do the rockers or should it be tuned for rockers ? I'm going with the 1.8 yella terras if I do. I didn't hear a lot of good stuff about the modded rockers

I had no problems with my rockers. I got the zzp 1.0 pcm and had more KR than i did on a stock tune so I threw the rockers on to take care of it.

I had 6-8° without rockers. Installed harland sharp 1.9's and still get 3-4° spikes.
Just saying not 1 motor is the same.
Don't depend on rockers solving your problems, scan, tune......

for the price of that you can have an aeroforce gauge or almost buy a used DHP tuner. that thing is not worth it. there is still info floating around to help you learn to tune these cars. get the tuner

I would go with an Intense canned tune over a ZZP.

When I got mine for my setup I got a phone call and spoke with Intense for a good 5 minutes on what mods, driving habits, what I wanted, and just sorta shot the **** for a bit. Plus you can send them a scan-log and they'll retune it for you.

Grab the 3.5 pulley, the 1.8 YT's and the Intense PCM and be a happy camper.

if all you wanna do is read KR get the torque app and on your phone and the reader to plug into the obd port. way way cheaper

Do i have to/should tune for the rockers when I get the intense mail order tune ? Would it be safe to to have the 1.8 yell as as my first mod ? I can't afford everything at once and I'm having my work (dealership) install them for me soo I don't mind it being in the garage for a few days since I have another vehicle. I just rather have them do the rockers first soo when they put everything back together they don't screw up my cai somehow.

Sounds good. Just didn't know if it will run like **** on the stock pcm. Then I'll do the rockers first than get the basic mods then get the mail order tune when I buy that stuff.

I would get it but I cant find any single column pods for it anywhere! I'm not into the 3 pod a pillar. I would do a 1 pod on the a pillar but on the column would be ideal for me.
