Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

How I got a GP

My mom was a huge NASCAR fan and back in the 80's was one of Rusty Wallace's biggest fans. Rusty drove a white Pontiac Grand Prix. In 1988, dad was looking for a new car, but not necessarily a Grand Prix. The day they walked into the dealership and mom saw the white Grand Prix just like Rusty drove sitting there, dad knew he had no other choice. Mom was in love with the car.

Dad was one to buy a new car every 3-5 years, but mom loved that car so he had it right up to his death in 1999. Mom kept the car and the Blazer driving the Blazer most of the time and bringing out her beloved Grand Prix to show off in the good weather.

Mom has now passed away and I have the car. It is very unique being a 23 year old car with no rust, all equipment working and only 44k miles. I am having a hard time finding a good home for her. She really needs the right buyer. I would love to keep her, but my garage is spoken for by an out of control motorcycle habit so I do not have a place to store a nice car like this. I saw this forum and it seems like a good group so I thought I would join and maybe get some advice on how to find a new home for mom’s baby.

welcome, and post up in the cars for sale section at the bottom of the forum. make sure you are an active member and read the sticky about selling in the forums before you post it though...

Thanks! I will see about listing it as soon as I find this sticky and see how to do it in appropriate thread.

BTW, it's a 1988.

You should keep it. In all honesty, you're never going to get near what its worth to you out of it.

It is killing me to sell it, but she is sitting out in the weather now and has probably sat out more since I got her than her entire life. I just don't have the room unless I get some help for the previously mentioned motocylcle habit. I have a company car and hubbs needs a truck so driving it as a a form of transport isn't an option either. I don't want her sitting in my driveway rusting to bits... I'm afraid mom will haunt me if I did! I'm sure she is spinning just me having it sit outside!

If its mint mint and want it to stay beautiful, you should look into donating it to a gm museum or get in contact with barrett-jackson and have it go for sale at a collector auction.

I will go through the extra effort of the extra click necessary to like the post of anybody who can tie my moniker (Kodiak) to this story! =)
