You're in Texas, complaining about the roads? Have you ever driven in the midwest? Where it changes temp 120*+ between summer and winter? And it tears the ****ing hell out of the roads?

I have been the midwest plenty. My Mom is from up there and I tow my Jeep up there for 4 wheeling too.

The problem in Houston is they don't actually fix the roads when they "fix" them because the entire workforce for road projects are illegal immigrants who could have been doing something totally different the day before and have no clue how to do anything on our roads. They will fix a "hole" or bad spot. It will be better for about a week and then it comes back and is larger than before. This cycle continues over and over. There was a news story a couple years ago that I was supposed to be interview for where the road crew "temporarily fixed" a spot in the road. They did it wrong and built a ramp and cars going down this road at 30 mph were getting major air. It was right in front of the auto parts store. This is normal for Houston. Add in the fact that we constantly have big trucks hauling equipment for various industries to and from the port, tanker trucks hauling things to and from the refineries, etc and our roads are beat on constantly.

Founds links to Youtube videos for this. The 2nd lane is the one that was "temporarily repaired". No signs to indicate that people might need to slow down or anything. You can see how the water is running off in the lane by the curb and see how rough that lane it. That is perfectly acceptable and normal all over Houston. A stock height car gets beat up...a lowered car would get murdered the first day.

I didn't take these and wasn't there when they were taken. I was there earlier and saw this when I was getting some parts. These videos got posted on a local forum.
