how hard is it to install an alarm with remote start

just like the title say ive never installed an alarm before how hard is it to install i got a viper alrm with remote start for free from a friend that coulnt use it as the remote start wont work with manual trans so wht do i need

lol take it somewhere to get it done because if you do it yourself you'll probably put your check engine light on. you have to be taught how to do remote starts and alarms before you do one. now to me they are easy but thats because 1 its my job and 2 i was taught by professional experienced installers.
