how f^cked am I ?

long story short, i snapped a stud on the front hub putting on my rims. what do i do?

replace the stud

pound it out, and put a new one in, the trick i learned here was to cut the one side of the flat back off so it can clear its way into the hub, then put a lug nut on backwards and crank it in.

thats why you need to cut off one side of the new stud, so i will slide in. you know the fat round part that holds it from pulling through.

ok. how much of a pia would it be to hacksaw it? or should i hunt down someone with a grinder

Get a grinder, thats your best bet. Hacksaw would likely do it but your wrist might be soar after :th_jester: Or just replaced the whole hub.

the tire place by me changes studs for $5 plus cost of stud.

yea just take it to a tire shop they will probably do it cheap.
