i was doing my rear pads yesterday and decided to take a looksy at the connection between the muffler inlet and pipe. i didnt know that it was welded all the way around i thought it was just clamps. so how do you remove that if you want to replace it with an aftermarket muffler, or even another oem muffler. im not interested in doing this now, just wanna know for future reference. thanks in advance

^you stole my picture from the killer thread.

but yeah, cut it off. how else do you remove welded material?

i know there is clamps holding on the tips, is there 2 welds tho on the side also holding them in place? or just the clamps?

its just the clamps and they are pinched on there a little. youre going to have to beat the crap out of them to get them off.

the way I got my tips off was took a piece of wood I had sitting around and put it up the tailpipe a ways, than after taking the clamps off just started to move it around a lot. Those tips are super thick so don't worry about hurting them.
