How do i replace the fuel level sensor in my GP?

I have a 1997 GP GT 140k miles on it, and the car only reads fuel accuratly when it is above 1/2 tank. I would like to fix this problem, but am not sure where the fuel level sensor is. Does anyone happen to know of a write-up on this?
 


Open teh trap door in the rear seat
Push the carpet aside in the trunk (away from rear seat)
Locate secret hatch
Remove the 10mm speed nuts holding it shut and pry up with a flat head screwdriver
Blow off top of tank
Unhook electrical
Unhook hoses
Pop the ring that holds the pump in the tank. Sometimes this is a snap ring and sometimes it's an old pound in a circle retaining ring
Lift pump slow to drain fuel and gently move it to get float and bottom filter out w/o damaging them
Pull safety piece that keeps fuel level sensor on side of bucket out and pull the sensor free of the canister by compressing the two tabs holding it
Remove the safety piece holding the wiring at the top and to the pump
Put new part in place and connect wiring
Put new sensor on side of can
Put all safety tabs back in place
Gently get it back in tank and put ring back in place
Put hoses back on
Put electrical back on
Put trap door back on.
 
I don't think bill said it but I would release the pressure in the fuel lines before taking them off.

This is one of the things I love about W-Bodies.... fuel pump access hatch. With a lot of cars, you'd have to drop the tank for such a thing.
