How did you mount your SD lip?

I bought a damaged SD lip, and just finished repairing it. It had 2 very large rips on the driver side, and 2 smaller cracks. You cant even tell they are there anymore. Im planning on painting it along with a brand new bumper I just very soon.

Now I know it's got the 3M tape on it, but looking around I've seen some people use screws, and someone used plastic bond.

I would like to know exactly how you mounted your SD lip to your bumper, and how it fit/looked.

Thanks

I used some push pin fastners on mine and on my brothers to hold the center part of the SD air dam to the factory center support. Used two fastners for the center part. For the sides I used some screws to hold the air dam to the factory bumper. This includes the use of the exosting 3M tape that was on the air dam.

These are the fastners I used. I got them at Napa.
NAPA Balkamp number I used is 665-2348. It's a package of five retainers.

get some black rivets and go to town... itll be awesome... :th_laugh-lol2: sorry... couldnt resist

Now with the fasteners, did the SD lip come with the holes already in it?? And where on the sides did you use the screws?

You have to drill holes in the air dam and the factory center location to use the push pin fastner. For the screws on the sides, it's where the air dam overlaps the factory bumper. Get a long enough screw that will reach and that's all you need.

Gotcha, thats what I was thinking about doing, but wasnt entirely sure. I've been so gentle with the lip, because of all the damage to it, I didnt want to go about drilling holes.

Thanks =]
